05-May: Jason Kahn of Weston, MA (Top96 in 1997) and Michael Lonergan of Weston, MA (Top96 in 1996), played at Uconn. 05- March: Ryan Hutzler is currently a Freshman at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. He is playing baseball at Trinity and is heading down to Clearwater, FL in two weeks for the spring trip. 05-March: Mark & Bobby Brown -- Bobby is doing very well in class and on the field. Starting at first and playing all positions in the outfield just like the Lightning days! HPU is close to becoming a very completive team. In the first 13 games they have taken 5 opponents to extra innings but only won one against the likes of Miami, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. Mark also is doing well in class and back behind the dish for his Junior year. 200404-December: Bobby Brown is a freshman at High Point University in High Point, North Carolina 04-November: John Wolff is playing infield for Harvard University 04-November: 2003 Top 96 attendees playing in college: Shawn Haviland RHP/SS Harvard; and Brian Kelaher C/OF Brown. 04-November: Ryan Walfield (2003 & 2004 TOP96) has made a commitment to Quinipiac University for the fall 2005 semester. Ryan is a Pitcher who attended Spaulding High School in Rochester, NH. Ryan will be majoring in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and would like to thank all of you for the chance to showcase his abilities. 04-October: The following Top 96 alum are playing at Stonehill: Adam Pardo, J. Ryan Halloran, Matthew Dudley, Andrew Hillier, Nick Santa Barbara, Blake Marston, Max Vigliotti, Billy Sittig 04-October, 9: At the First Eastern Connecticut State University Baseball awards banquet, Dwight Wildman received the following awards: ECSU 2004 baseball Most Valuable Player, ECSU 2004 baseball Best Hitter, ECSU 2004 Male Athlete of the Year, Little East Conference 1st Team All-Conference, Little East Conference Baseball Player of the Year, 1st Team All New England, 2004 New England Regional Player of the Year, New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association Player of the Year, Eastern College Athletic Conference Player of the Year, 2004 NCAA Div. III National Championship All-Tournament Team, 2004 First Team All-American, 2004 Division III National Player of the Year. His team won the National Championship in 2002, they went again in 2003, and came in 3rd, and went in 2004, and came in 2nd. He has enjoyed quite a career at Eastern Connecticut State University. He will also be honored in January 2005 at an awards dinner at the Radisson as the "Connecticut American Legion College Player of the Year." |
